Carestream Cybersecurity Upgrade Article

Many radiology professionals may not understand the vulnerability of x-ray equipment to a cyber attack. But any digital transmission of data – including a patient’s x-ray and accompanying patient information – is fair game to predators. And healthcare is the Number 1 cyber-attacked industry, given how much of a patient’s personal data is stored on a health record.

Carestream consulted Verdi to craft an informative and gently persuasive (but not scary) article to spur urgency to upgrade/invest in encrypted hard drives and up-to-date software for their Carestream x-ray equipment. The article was used as an offer in their customer loyalty program called The Stream, and has recorded many downloads and hits to the page. The article acted as a support tool for the creation of over 50 leads to date for a cybersecurity update.
